Lake Manyara is ideal for viewing birdlife with over 400 species. Ngorongoro is the largest intact crater in the world abundant with wild game including elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, and hyenas. Tarangire is a beautiful park filled with Baobabs and Acacias with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck. You will also visit the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous and largest national park and one of the most spectacular parks in the world. The “endless plains” cover some 14,763 square kilometers including large plains, short grass plains, kopjes, and lakes.
DAY 1: Arusha National Park
After Breakfast depart with picnic lunch for full day game drive at Arusha National Park, Arusha National Park is covering 137 sq. kilometers and lies between the peaks of Mountain Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru and ascends from 1500 metres at Momela to 4566 metres at the summit of Mount Meru. Established in 1960 the park had contained Ngurdoto Crater and Momela lakes, until 1967 when Mt. Meru was made part of the Park. The flora and fauna varies with the topography, which ranges from forest to swamp. The best time for visiting is during the dry season from July-March. The best months to climb Mount Meru are June-February (although there are some rains in November). On clear days magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru can be seen from almost any part of the park. The best views of Mt. Kilimanjaro are from December-February. Meals and overnight at Kibo Palace hotel under bed and breakfast.
DAY 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast depart to Tarangire N/P Tarangire lies to the south of the large open grass plains of southern Maasailand and is the best-kept secret on the northern safari circuit. Wonderful panoramas of wide savannah grasslands dotted with open acacia woodland studded with large Baobab trees. The density of game is second only to the crowded Ngorongoro Crater ,Tarangire is a dry season refuge for many migratory animals (elephants, wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, eland and buffalo), that spend many months of the year outside the park on traditional grazing corridors linking Tarangire with other protected areas. DAY 3: Tarangire National Park Full Day Tour
Spend another full day at Tarangire National Park for game drive. This park dominated by the silhouettes of Great Baobab trees this beautiful park is and untouched haven for wildlife. (approx. 200 miles) and and herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. Meals and overnight stay at Maramboi Tented Camp/ Zion Campsite.
DAY 4: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast leave Tarangire National Park and proceed to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai gorge the home of the first man to live on earth, with picnic lunch, arriving in the afternoon. Take a game drive to this park with immense herds of herbivore, wildebeests, gazelles and Zebras followed by predators on their annual migration to permanent water holes, offering a timeless spectacle unequalled in the world. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge/ Katikati Tented Camp/ Pimbi or Nyani Public Campsite.
DAY 5: Serengeti National Park Full Day Game View
Spent another morning, noon and evening game views and exploring the grassy plains and woodlands in the area, tracking the massed herds of wildebeest and zebra, witnessing the birth of new calves and trailing predators such as lion, cheetah and hyena on the hunt. The area also teems with other wildlife, including elephants, eland, various gazelle species, Kirk’s dik-dik, giraffe and the elusive leopard.

DAY 6: Serengeti National Park Morning and Evening Game View
After breakfast, venture into the Serengetis wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free! Meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa Lodge/ Katikati Tented Camp/ Pimbi or Nyani Public Campsite.
DAY 7: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
Morning game viewing after breakfast, then return to the hotel for hot lunch and after lunch pack all your belongings and proceed further game drives as you exit the park and drive to Ngorongoro conservation area. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge/ Ngorongoro Serena Hotel.
DAY 8: NGORONGORO CRATER – NGORONGORO FARM HOUSE
Descend down to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the wonders of the natural world. An extinct volcano that collapsed around 25 million years ago thus is forming a vast super bowl where the largest permanent concentration of African game is on display. The views from the top of the crater wall are absolutely breathtaking which are forested but four wheel drive vehicles will take you down into this primeval paradise of woodland, lake, river, swamp and plain that shelters around 20,000 animals. Large grazing animals such as wildebeest, buffalo, gazelle and zebra that depends on the open grasslands in the crater. Attracting predators, the black-maned lion, the leopard and hyena. The elephant found are the lone males. The Fever Tree forests shelter monkeys, bushbuck and waterbuck and the few black rhino that have taken refuge here. A soda lake attracts water birds, including flamingoes and is a favorite place for predators to make their kill. Wildly beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro Crater has been called a Garden of Eden. The game drives are done with packed lunch. DAY 9: NGORONGORO FARM HOUSE – LAKE MANYARA N.P
After breakfast, leave for Lake Manyara National Park for game view in the morning and return to the hotel/camp for hot lunch. After lunch will drive back to Arusha.
Lake Manyara is a birdwatcher’s paradise. Marvel at the variety of species, spoonbill, teal, pelican, kingfisher, hornbill and cormorant. In the tall trees, forest monkeys leap from branch to branch on the slope of the Great Rift escarpment, elephants stand in the shade of the baobab; and in the acacia woodland, and lions lie draped along the branches of the umbrella trees. Overnight at the hotel in Arusha under bed and breakfast basis or transfer to the airport to board your flight for your further destination.
